The technique of enclosing one or more diamonds under glass where they can give free rein to their movements was invented and patented by Chopard in the 1970s, and since 1976 has been used in numerous jewellery models. It has become emblematic of the jewellery house and has given rise to the equally emblematic Happy Diamonds collection. As its name suggests, the collection evokes joy and freedom. The diamond is free to move as it pleases, like a call to freedom and life.
