Second-hand Cartier Trinity pendant in 750/1000 (18K) pink, white and yellow gold: the 3 intertwined rings motif, diameter approx. 27mm. The Cartier engraving can be seen on the rose gold ring. The 3-ring pendant is held by a grey cord with yellow gold end-pieces and a yellow gold runner, the runner bears the CARTIER signature. Maximum adjustable length 60 cm.

Created by Louis Cartier in 1924, the Trinity quickly became an icon. Its three rings each symbolise a sentiment: love for pink gold, loyalty for yellow gold, and friendship for white gold. An unprecedented combination in jewellery, it was soon available as a bracelet. Jean Cocteau has adopted it, wearing two rings superimposed on the left little finger, as have Lady Diana, Grace Kelly and Gary Cooper.
