Fred Samuel, founder of Maison Fred, was an innovative jeweller, a non-conformist and a lover of the marine world. In 1966, his son gave him the idea of braiding sea cables into jewellery. He suggested mixing two materials that were in stark contrast: gold and steel. The result is the iconic Force 10 bracelet, a symbol of resistance, perseverance and great willpower.
